Thanks to Genkisan, I finally found one blog tutorial that makes sense to me. When I discovered that my site has been hacked silently, I searched and searched for some tutorials that aren’t written in Latin or Greek. Techies alway write in languages I cannot understand so they are like Latin to me.
I only knew my site was hacked because Matt of Google Development Team told me so when I lodged a form asking Google Adsense why I am seeing PSA (public service ads) on my Google Adsense. You see, we wouldn’t know our site has been filled with so many links as they don’t show on regular source codes. Only Google Bot sees these links.
The hacker apparently added a lot of jpgs files into my root server. When I login, I notice a lot of photos in my main root. My webmaster too wondered why I added them. Then, he notice a sinister looking plugin file as well. Thanks to my webhost who is also my webmaster, Bryan. Normally, I am pretty independent and do most of the Wordpress upgrades and such myself. However, this hacking is serious business so I sought his help.
From the link given by Genkisan, I found this useful tutorial on ‘Did your Wordpress site get hacked?‘
They’re also uploading PHP code disguised as jpeg files to your upload directory and adding those files to the activated plugins list. This makes it harder to find them, but not impossible:
1. Open PHPMyAdmin and go to your blog’s options table and find the active_plugins record.
Now, I think I have cleared the problem because my site is showing ads again.
Note that the blog that was hacked was already running on WP 2.5.1. That blog has good keywords for sex related stuffs so it was like a magnet for p0rn sites.
I had a few sites bookmarked when I was searching for solutions to this hacking. I am afraid that these lead to more confusions because I am not very familiar with tech terms. However, some of you may find them useful. Here they are :
View a website as Google Bot
Wordpress exploit scanner 0.1
Worpress Spam Injection = Google Penalty
One more site hit by Wordpress Spam Injection
Wordpress support, question on hacking
Keep these links handy. You may be the next victim. Oh wait, maybe your Wordpress blog is already infested with the MTF-ker spam injection. Good luck! The spam will kill your blog like cancer does, silently, painfully and by the time you find out, it is too late because you probably lost ads income, traffic and pageranks. OMG! Bwahaha.
Meanwhile, I have come out of this much wiser and smarter. I can almost talk Greek now!

Yesterday, I heard a word in the homily that sounds so familiar to what I expressed previously. I told the priest today, “Hey, you know your homily yesterday during sunset mass? The doormat part is exactly what I felt and had blogged about it. You didn’t steal my content, did you?” Jokingly, I asked him, of course.
Anyway, just to recollect, I did use the doormat term over here in my post where I heaped praises on Penang CM Lim Guan Eng.
The above quotes from him sort of seal my belief that we shouldn’t just keep turning the other cheek or be the meek lambs all the time. Many Christians have that attitude of following the ‘turning the other cheek’ mantra and insist that one has to be meek to get things done because that’s what Jesus did. The only result is a lot of doormats - weakened, trampled and ineffective. Bwahaha.
Then, there was another occasion where this person wrote to The Herald and questioned why we wanted to fight in court over the use of the hotly debated issue. This person asked why don’t we just find other things to use, why not turn the other cheek? Again, I posted about Jesus the person, whom may be meek and gentle but He certainly did not let people stepped all over Him. Even as a boy, He has the guts to do something His earthly parents didn’t expect and he stayed behind at the temple while they were on their way home. He went against the crowd and had meals with Zacchaeus, while people are gossiping behind. He overturned His Father’s temple and called those people thieves. So, to me, all these are being assertive, standing up for the truth. I also wrote about Jesus being a frustrating guy to talk to.
So, yeah, we must never be doormats. Whether Christians or not, we should never allow ourselves to be unhappy by always allowing people to take us for granted. In my personal life, I know when to put my foot down when I feel I had been taken for granted by the spouse as well. Don’t ever wait till the shit hits the fan or you had lost your own individuality before you come to realise that being doormats are bad ideas. Of course, do not be the stumbling block too.
As reminder, Father Fab said in his homily, “The hallmark of being a Christian is to be gentle and humble.” Being assertive, not aggresive.
And the Gospel, taken from the Al-Kitab :
(Markus 10:13-15)

I made some nice jelly today. Any idiot can do it too. Just buy one packet of agar-agar powder, follow the instructions and you get some nice jelly. Even my five years old boy know how to do it, if I let him play with fire, i.e.
Buy the jelly from Thailand. Not sure why but Thais are great with jellies and agar-agar. I think one packet costs less than RM2.

Copying the idea from Hochiak Delicious Asian foods, I cut some red dragon fruit into the agar-agar. The red colour is all original red colour from the dragon fruit. I love red dragon fruits. You know why? Because it makes my urine orange and what came out in the toilet bowl, looks like my whole intestines had been blended and mushed up.

From one packet of agar-agar powder, I made three types of agar-agar. One is the green heart, the red dragon fruit and the other the sirap manis, slightly pinkish plain ones.
#1 son : Mom, that looks like a pair of implants. The silicon implants.
#3 son : Yalah, like yours mom!
Me : HOI, cilaka what like mine? Niamah, I original lah.
#3 : Like the one that dropped out in the washing machine.
Me thinking, WTF, what dropped out? Think, think, think….
Me : Ish, that one is not silicon lah! That one from the swimsuit lah. Lycra!
#2 son : This one is just an A-cup.
Me : HOI, where you learn all these ah? They teach you in skool izzit?

Nice Sunday. Why they don’t hold protest in Penang ah? So boring, no place to go protest.

Christ, be our light is one of those hymns that I can always sing at my most beautiful voice. Actually, I do not care how my voice sounds because as choir members, we have been trained rigorously to project our voices from the abdomen. But being human, I usually don’t do that when there aren’t people around me singing at the same level. So, I will squeak, squeak, quack, quack/
Yet, this hymn always make me feel so uplifted. It express the desire that I always have inside. The need to do something and not just waiting for things to happen. During the sunset mass, I felt an overwhelming sense of purpose when the cantors sang it. I was on OHP duty and for once, I didn’t get carried away singing and forget to press the ‘Next’ button (roll eyes LOL). I tend to do that, forgetting my duty and get so overpowered with some hymns, sometimes.
I got home and decided to Google for the Youtube video and found one with Mother Teresa. It is kind of frightening. I had never bothered to find out much about Mother Teresa because she had been such an icon, you sometimes do not need to know more. I had never seen Mother Teresa in any other light, other than the iconic nun who helped the poorest and downtrodden from the gutters in Calcutta. When you suddenly feel close to a person on a personal and intimate level, you tend to shy away. It is always easier to put someone on a pedestal and just remain down there with part of the pack. When you realise you too can follow some of the examples of a person you adore, it becomes a burden of carrying some responsibilities.
Mother Teresa talked about the importance of touch and about reaching out to people. This is even more frightening. I know I had been touched by many people when I was at the other end. The receiving end. The times when I was about to go for operations or the times when my son was very ill. There was always someone who would come by and gave me comfort. Anne, the physiotherapist who is a Baptist. Deepa, the nurse from India who is an Orthodox. Doc C, fellow parishioner. And that chaplain from Adventist. Plus several matrons. And Sister Fatimah from UMMC. It is frightening because these are the God sent people to help me through my hard times.
It’s not always easy but it’s a beautiful and very wonderful way. And it brings really the presence of God, through our actions to the people.
(Mother Teresa’s words.)
Now, will I ever be able to return the care to others? Will I have the same magical touch that they had showered on me? I know I can. And I will. And Mother Teresa has just got into my list of ‘People I want to know intimately’, apart from St. Francis Assisi.
Christ, Be Our Light
Longing for light, we wait in darkness.
Longing for truth, we turn to you.
Make us your own, your holy people,
Light of the world to see. (Refrain)
Christ, be our light! Shine in our hearts.
Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light!
Shine in your Church gathered today.
Longing for peace, our world is troubled.
Longing for hope, many despair.
Your word alone has pow’r to save us.
Make us your living voice. (Refrain)
Longing for food, many are hungry,
Longing for water, many still thirst.
Make us your bread, broken for others,
shared until all are fed.
(Refrain)
Longing for shelter, many are homeless,
Longing for warmth, many are cold.
Make us your building, sheltering others,
walls made of living stones.
(Refrain)
Many the gifts, many the people,
many the hearts that yearn to belong.
Let us be servants to one another,
making your kingdom come.
(Refrain)

Actually…..if I am allowed to say this…..if one wants to be gay, I prefer them to be open about it. Face the fact and be like Freddie Mercury.
I’m just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are raining down on me
I’m far away from home
And I’ve been facing this alone
For much too long
I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me
About growing up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind
I’ve been looking back to find
Where I went wrong
Too much love will kill you
If you can’t make up your mind
Torn between the lover
And the love you leave behind
You’re headed for disaster
‘cos you never read the signs
Too much love will kill you
Every time
I’m just the shadow of the man I used to be
And it seems like there’s no way out of this for me
I used to bring you sunshine
Now all I ever do is bring you down
How would it be if you were standing in my shoes
Can’t you see that it’s impossible to choose
No there’s no making sense of it
Every way I go I’m bound to lose
Too much love will kill you
Just as sure as none at all
It’ll drain the power that’s in you
Make you plead and scream and crawl
And the pain will make you crazy
You’re the victim of your crime
Too much love will kill you
Every time
Too much love will kill you
It’ll make your life a lie
Yes, too much love will kill you
And you won’t understand why
You’d give your life, you’d sell your soul
But here it comes again
Too much love will kill you
In the end…
In the end
You say correct or not? I have a few gay friends (if they still call me friend) and I find nothing wrong with being gay. I had even wrote Does God hate gays? But I find it offensive when politicians said something in this line. This certain Member of Parliament found a lot of young (some race) men going to hotels with Caucasians tourists. He said the families need ’simpati’ and they will do their holy-moly stuffs of giving SYMPATHY. Well, it is all wrong. Gays don’t need our sympathy. Even handicapped and mentally retarded people don’t need our sympathy.
They need our acceptance, tolerance, company, understanding and being real with them. I know some faiths see this as very wrong. My faith do that. But what can we bystanders do other than just being aware and maybe, silently and privately hope and pray that they can deal with it somehow.
Then again, I also do not tolerate gays trying hard to ‘recruit’ more to join them or those who publicly show their passion.
So remember, too much love will kill you. Therefore, stay obnoxious sometimes.
**Note : this post is not meant to evoke any gay loving, gay hating or god-loving or goodness gracious response, so shaddap already. Just enjoy the Queen song, ok?

Sometime back, I bought a domain for this blog. I installed the Wordpess wrongly and now, I cannot delete it from my hosting in Bluehost. I submitted a ticket and they had kindly offered to help me clear the folder but unfortunately, I was too lazy to move this blog over to its own domain.
Morever, with a good PR now, I am rather reluctant to stop blogging from here. So, I shall continue leaving my digitalworldphoto.com online and renew the domain end of this year. If you are looking for good webhost, you may want to check out the reviews on web hosting. Bluehost has been listed as the editor’s choice and I can personally attest that it is a rather reliable webhost with almost no downtime.
This blog is not hosted with Bluehost but some of my other blogs are. I believe in maintaining two webhosting packages because if one server is down, I still have half of my blogs working. Clever eh? You can find the Top Ten web hosting on this page.

Super happy or super sad. The choice is yours.
Now, you can express it on your blog with a Nuffnang widget. The Nuffnang Happy-O-Meter widget.

If you are a Nuffnang publisher (which by now, all Malaysian bloggers should, if they have not done so), all you need is to log in to your dashboard and select your choice of colour, your mood and enter your short text message.
Now, you may ask. Why do we want the widget? First of all, it is cute. Next, it can be colour co-ordinated. And best of all, it will be filled with ads which pay us bloggers.

Nuffnang are rolling out the ads and I just received 12 emails from Marketing! Woohoo! TWELVE! It is spread over several of my better blogs. Yes, I work hard to update those blogs with good contents, so don’t jeles lah. You can read all about the Happy-O-Meter on Nuffnang blog.
Here are some useful tips on how to make money with Nuffnang. Find out how much money can make from Nuffnang. There are more posts on how to make an income from Nuffnang ads, so feel free to check my previous posts.
I am super happy! What about you?

Since that Bala retracted part of his original SD, the joke of the Indian and the snake have been circulating amongst blogs in Malaysia.
“If you have a gun with one bullet, would you shoot the Indian or the snake?” The answer is the Indian. Because in Malaysia, they tell a lot of Indian stories. Meaning they like to twist and turn their stories like the infamous Lingam’s ‘correct, correct, correct’.
So, “If you have a gun with TWO bullets, would you shoot the Indian and the snake?” The answer is still NO because I will shoot the Indian TWICE !!!
Sorry for sounding like a racist but the Indian here applies only to BALA and LINGAM and maybe SAMY. Bwahahaha!!!

There are so many incidences of snatch thefts recently. The snatch thieves even rode their motorbike right into places of worship to snatch from the unsuspecting victims.
Therefore, I dare not wear my jewelry anymore because of the fear of being the next victim. However, when I look at nice jewelry, I feel like buying them. Though there are not many chances of wearing them, it is still nice to own a piece or two. I think things like earrings and rings are much safer to be worn.
So, do you still wear jewelry? If you do, remember to hide your chain and pendant in your blouse if you are moving around alone in lonely places. Never attract undue attention, for safety sake.

Bah! This morning, my son’s computer power supply unit burnt. My Sony Vaio laptop is dead. And now, my other son said his computer is giving problems because of not enough computer memory.
The thing with computer is - it is usually cheaper to buy a new unit than to upgrade. We do not know how to do it so normally we need to hire someone to do the upgrading. After all the costs and upgrading fees, sometimes, we just decide to buy a totally new unit. And we do not know what to do with the still functioning but not perfect unit. So, if there is anyone who needs a computer badly, we just pass on the old PC to them.

I will stick to singing Christmas carols….I don’t know why today I cannot stop singing Christmas songs….

Remember hor, sshhhhh…..
Do what the little piggies on the first photo do….

Today, my son tagged along with me to church. He kept nudging me, “HOI, don’t read so fast can ah?” I cannot help it. Mary will understand that mothers like me tend to do things very fast or else we cannot cope with our motherly duties. So, my rosary is super fast and I completed mine while others were just midway.
Then, “HOI, not so loud can ah?”
What to do…when I open my mouth, it is always that loud. In an empty church, where there are just two of us in that section of the pews, of course, my voice is heard louder than usual. But eh, my voice is not bad one, wokay? My Alleluia is trained by the choir master, so loud also never mind. Not like if I am too loud elsewhere, I will end up eating sands and cockroaches.
So, find the rahsia yang tersirat in what is tersurat. Shhhh….Remember, follow the piggies. You don’t want to eat chicken with no meat, do you?
And if you are bored, go see 9pek9bo’s son yodelling. I went to take photos of charleskey during the yodelling at the French Music Festival but my photos all turned out senget, like he is about to slip off the side of the stage. LOL.
HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND TO ALL, STAY OUT OF TROUBLE, OK?

When a country is unstable, I think having some gold stashed safely is the best security. My mother told me how their family survived during the WWII because they had a stash of gold. However, these were used up to help them to escape.
Now, do we still bother about investing in gold for that purpose? I don’t think so. We live in comfortable times and we never think of that. Usually, people invest more to earn money and not as a security.
With the price of gold going up day by day, it is certainly a wise move to buy gold. Are you going to start doing that soon?
I don’t think I will ever have enough money to invest in gold. So, let’s just hope none of us have to go through what my mother went through. Otherwise, we are all dead.

As I am writing this, I am watching two very explosive videos. One of them said the leaders are succumbing to fear which was instigated by the leaders themselves. I find it quite funny. Here they are, instilling fears in the citizens and now, they are getting fearful themselves.
I frankly do not care who is right or who is wrong. All I want is some truth. Is that too much to ask? Here we are, two different persons with two different versions. Believing either one, means distrusting the other. So, where do we stand?

Ladies and gentlemen, May I present to you the king of fruits. This must be the most wonderful aromatic fruit with the creamiest taste and weirdest flavour. It is only available once and year and it is darn expensive.
The fruits flourish under the right weather. This year, the plantation owners said it is not a good year and hence, there are less fruits. So, it is naturally more expensive. However, a friend told me the fruits taste much better because of the ’stress’ of bad weather, so the fruit has more flavour. Go figure..

The prices of everything is going up. Oil price is spiraling, causing so many other things to go up as well. So, if I have been smart enough to save enough money, I would have invested in gold. The price of gold keeps going up and up.
This means we must now stop shopping and start saving. Hopefully, we can save enough to start storing gold bars and gold bullion and gold bar in a safe place and see the price going up and up. We know for sure that gold price never will come down so it must be one of the safest investment.
Therefore, are you reading to invest in gold yet?
[Link]
I think it is ridiculous how the prices of everything is going up every day. Even a bar of chocolate costs so much more now. I have to forgo the chocolate bingeing because I feel cheated having to pay extra $2 for a bar.
I wish I have the money earlier to invest in gold because price of gold seems to be spiraling. If I had done that, now, I will be laughing all the way to the bank. But then, who has the money to spend on buying gold bars and gold bullion, right?
Now, people are even too poor to feed their family. I just saw a newspaper article of this man trying to sell his kidney to feed his family. It is sad that things come to this stage because I do not know if it is bad governance or what that cause so many agonies to the poor people.
So, if you got the money, go invest in gold now. Stop shopping so much. [Link]
I love this photo. It is actually a nice, flourishing tree but someone tried to murder it by pouring diesel on the root so that the tree doesn't pose a danger to his car. Blardy hell, the management merely prune the tree because it was really growing too big and there is indeed risk of uprooting during storm. But some guy decided that it is better off dead and took the liberty to handle it himself.
Now, this poor tree look so sad and lonely, without any leaves and no life. [Link]
Sigh…I miss those crazy blogging days. By sheer bad or is it good luck, I have a pile of things to complete tonight. So, I am going to plugin in Jackie and Barry, side by side to accompany me while I tap away on my Mac. I am beginning to love this Mac keyboard. My Sony Vaio can go to hell already so I have better love Mac.
Jackie and Barry always sound so intimate when I plug them into my ears and cut off the noise from around the house. So, it is me, Jackie and Barry. Happy threesome while I complete about RM500 worth of posts tonight. [Link]

The other day, hubby was thinking of starting a home theater because the price of HDTV is dropping and he is so interested with all those HDMI cables and stuffs. I cannot really be bother because I do not like the idea of having a home theater when the kids are young. I dislike them being glued to movies and watching cable TV all day long.
In fact, if I have my way, I will not even allow cable TV but then, every household has it so I cannot be the tyrant mom, can I? However, hubby is the movie addict and is so keen to set up one at home. Not that we have the space but he will find a way if I allow him. He is reading up on the perfect set up including the home theater lighting.
I don’t think it will materialise anytime soon.

Slimming products, fat burners and diet pills are probably the hottest products around because people just love to lose weight even when they are not actually fat. Then, there are the obesity problems faced by many. With the availability of nice foods, these slimming products are even more in demand. So, we hear of new products hitting the market all the time.
Personally, I have never touch any weight loss products because I am one who is very cautious, from the health point. Moreover, I never completely feel I am in dire need of any help. So, Anoretix which is touted to be a hot selling slimming and fat burning product is foreign to me.
I shall just stick to eating prudently and see that I do not have to buy bigger sizes clothes. [Link]
Sometimes, I can be so engrossed with whatever I am doing and did not notice that dusk is here and it is dark in my room. Usually, in the evenings, the hubby and kids will go to the park and they don't return home till past seven p.m. So, if I have something to write or read, I will enjoy the silence at home and be so engrossed in it.
When they get home, they will asked if I am planning to go blind or I am already blind not to notice that the house is in darkness. Well, probably my house should have some auto-detectindoor lighting which lights up when it is dark. Otherwise, I probably will live in the dark. Or go blind. [Link]
Happy Independence Day to all who are from the United States of America.
There is no celebration here. In fact, it is like a constipated day because my broadband is like tortoise and I have a stack of assignments to complete within the next few hours. I had been holding on and thought the speed will improve but it just won’t move. So, like it or not, I gotta sit here and load a page, go to the kitchen and fry some chicken, come back the load another page, go to the kitchen and continue turning over the chicken in the kitchen, come back and start a post and go to the kitchen to dish out the chicken come back…okok okok, you can imagine how slow, slow is.
Have a good weekend to all.

It is durian season over here. Durian is probably the most fattening fruits. It has so much calories and yet, it tastes so delicious. My kids love them so we buy them every few days.
For the kids, it is fine for them because the skinny ones can afford to eat all they want. But for me, I am beginning to see the weighing scale protesting each time I stepped on it. What to do…..the durian fruit is so nice and when I cook rice and serve it with coconut milk and brown sugar, it is like heaven. So, I ate and ate and ate. Now, I think I am seriously going to need some diet pills before I outgrow all my jeans.
Of course, the good news is the season is ending and I wont’ get to eat durian until next year. So, I probably should exercise more instead.

This is how my blog looks like when I surf using Firefox :

Blank. No photos, no nothing, everything messed up. And I cannot make new posts because I cannot publish. I get some error codes.
But lucky, on Safari, it still loads fine.

Our Penang CM Lim Guan Eng said something about Penang broadband speed being too low. Doh…CM ah, tolong do something about it lah. Can die wei. Every few months, we are sure to be hit by this tortoise speed.
Now, all our country leaders care about are who liwat who. KNN, we don’t care who liwat or no liwat, all we know is we are all kena liwat-ed. We the Malaysians rakyat semua pun sudah kena liwat by these pack of liars. I have totally lost faith in the police and the legal system. Statutory declarations are now nothing but a political tool. Maybe we should start importing KY Jelly because liwat is like the new age sex.
P/S : At least my Celcom broadband is working ok. But cilaka iMac not compatible with my phone and it won’t detect the wifi from my phone.

No, the Pope is said not to be wearing a pair of Prada red shoes. Only The Devil wear Prada. Vatican said :
According to Vatican sources the Pope’s shoes are made by a cobbler from Novara called Adriano Stefanelli, who makes them from calf or kid for the winter and nappa leather for the summer. Papal shoe repairs are carried out by Antonio Arellano, a Peruvian shoemaker in the Borgo, the medieval quarter next to St Peter’s.

And it reminds me of the a joke by Archibishop Sheen in one of his talk with youths about sex. First, he explained to the youths the names of the robes the Bishops wear for different feasts. There is the cassocks which they wear daily and other robes that come with the season like purple, red, green and gold. So, one day, Archibishop Sheen went to some posh hotel in Beverly Hills for some event. Usually, these posh hotels have butlers who will turn down the bed at night when you are away from your room. They will place your pajamas on the bed.
So, Archbishop told the youths that when he got back to his rooms, he found his own pajamas on one side of the bed (it must be a king size bed) and his purple robe on the other side. Initially, I didn’t get the joke. Then, the youths started laughing and Archbishop explained that the butler must have mistaken the robe belonging to him as some night gown of a woman. LOL. Now, whenever I see my parish priests in their robes, I still find the night gown joke funny. And this comes from the Archbishop, so no one can fault me.
Though it is good to have all these exterior signs and symbols, sometimes, I do agree with this quote :
One prelate, on condition of anonymity, told AFP of his misgivings about the changes underway at the Vatican. “The liturgical celebration is first of all a spiritual encounter between believers and Christ. The increasingly insistent focus on ritual could give this encounter a constrained feeling.”
(AFP)
Initially when I joined a Catholic Church, I did get that overwhelming feelings of ‘OMG, what do I do now? Do I bow, do I kneel, do I stand, do I say this or do I say that?’. Sometimes, the whole ritual do become distractions rather than helping one to be close to the main issue - Be with Christ.
And a thought just occurred to me. Hmmmm….Jesus Christ was this simple man with simple robe, sandals and hairstyle, minus all the grand ’style’. I wonder who injected all these into the celebration? I am just wondering…..That’s why I now prefer to go to church on weekdays when there are less ‘distractions’. I don’t need to keep up with who is offering what, representing what, which cantor group is better or see who is wearing what on a beautiful Sunday and note if their shoes and bags match with their clothes.
You should try it too. Go to church when there is no crowd. You get that peaceful feelings.

Sometime back, I think I wrote an awfully good post title “Political stuff is now stickier than talking about sex with your kids“. And now, when I look back at that post dated August 17th, 2007 I have to re-phrase the whole thing.
Now, politics are dirtier, scummier, low-life, dangerous and much more sleazier than sex. So, as parents, I do not know how other parents approach this issue with their older children. I for one will openly discussed with them because we always have ‘What I just read from Malaysia-Today, Malaysiakini and so on’ talk.
Our local Malaysia politicians have made these issues like they are legal and honourable:
1) Extra-marital sex
2) False accusations
3) Telling blatant lies
4) Sodomy
5) Corruption
and much more sleazy acts.
Of course, other countries have the same thing too. In fact, almost all politics are dirty. But the difference is, over where I live, they use ‘the perceived god’ as their defence. So, how then do we make sure that our future generations are able to differentiate what is wrong and what is right? Every single side, swear by their god that they are innocent.
How sure are we that they will not have the misconceptions that it is alright to do all the sinful acts? Because usually, the bad guys get away with their load of lies and crimes and unlike a good movie, there isn’t an ending where the bad guy gets punished and the good guy triumph. In politics, the bad ones are quickly swept under the carpet or what we call media blackout.
The bad guy sits there in his high office and continue making press conference that he is innocent. I think we have just created a whole nation of liars because our teens and our children are going to be influenced by the cool facade.
While people are talking about the stock market, the economy, the oil, I think I shall worry about the moral factor. I know for sure my children are going to grow up in an even dirtier environment in future. They are going to be surrounded by these fat liars who are now influenced by the greatest liar. And sad thing is these liars may even bring in ‘the perceived god’ as their shield. So, help us Lord Jesus Christ. Parenting is now so challenging. We are like living with Pontius Pilate and Herod.
*NOTE : My version of perceived god is a non-existent god, so don’t jump to conclusion that I am referring to any faith.

It is summer in the Western Hemisphere now and that’s when the European countries are packed with tourists. A lot of people told me never go to Europe during summer because it is hot and hence, not the best weather for Asians like me who actually enjoy all year round hot weather.
So, during these summer months, tourists from other northern hemisphere throng to Europe because it is the best months for them to enjoy good weather and sights. Europe is so totally different from say, United States of America. So many of their architectures are unique, not found in any other parts of the world.
That’s why some of the non-English speaking countries are now catering to the English speaking tourists. Destinia introduces in English market is a tour company that helps English speaking tourists get the best deal. Personally, if I am going to a country for tour, I prefer to find local arrangements because I like travelling on my own and local tours will be better in introducing the kind of packages and hotels in that suits me.
So, if you are planning for any holidays in Spain, check out the link provided and hope you get some good deals.

Pissed. When I write too long, people’s attention span get muddled in those words and they repeated exactly what I said in the post in the comment. If you are a blogger, you will know what tulan-ess is. It is like a parrot gawking.
Pissed. When I blogged too personal stuffs, people start to wonder if I am OK and buzzed and MSN to ask.
Pissed. When I blogged on general issues, people buzzed and ask if I am hiding something wrong.
Pissed. When I write about saving money, people asked if I am in financial crisis. KNN.
Pissed. When I get too real, real people I meet reminded me that every words from me must be pleasing to errmm…wateva…
So, no post today. Instead, go watch this awfully funny Walter and Jeff Dunham video.
Actually, there is an even funnier video. Silence. I kill you. But I won’t dare to post it. Sure I kena. But I kasi tip, watch out for Achmed. Silence. I kill you. Infidel…..

But who am I to question it? However, I see a positive sign out of it. When some faiths have no funds to build any building, they have to come together as a community to work for the money. Over where I am, a doctor wrote a book on health and donate it to be sold, a nice gentleman wrote several books, youths wash cars to raise funds, younger children selling bookmarks, the ladies cook and organise food fairs, nurses hold health checks, corporate companies donated gifts to be used as lucky draws and practically, every layer of the community do something to raise funds for our own building.
So, I see it as a blessing. The driving force that makes people come together, to build God’s kingdom. In the end, our their lives are enriched. And not only the church building is materialised with their efforts, the brotherhood and sisterhood of the different Malaysian races (who are Christians or supporter of the cause) are so much closer.

When you have personally involved in a project to raise funds for a building, you automatically feel you are part of the community and devotion and faith is strengthened. I know if I have a gleaming building, not built with my own efforts, I will see it as cold bricks and stones. But if it is a humble building, where the cost of every bricks come from generous donors, hardworking fundraisers and cemented by the determination of the faithfuls, I know I will treasure it more because it is a symbol of human unity and an indication of God’s marvelous ‘gel that bind us together’ .

Parliament: RM428m to build mosques
KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has allocated a total of RM428mil to build mosques and suraus, and RM8.1mil to build churches, kuils and temples, said Datuk Mohd Johari Baharom, deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in his written reply to Nga Kor Ming (DAP - Taiping).
The Government spent RM3.93mil for kuils, RM3.16mil for temples and RM1.6mil for churches.
Such allocations for the years 2009 and 2010 would be determined by the Government later, he said.
Since 1991, he said the Prime Minister had allocated RM1mil for the physical development of churches and temples and RM1mil for kuils starting from the year 2000.
A co-ordinating unit under the Prime Minister’s Department would approve the applications for non-Muslim projects, he explained.

Like what I said in the opening sentence. Who am I to question? I am merely expressing what I see. So….?

It is such a lovely day today. It rains the whole morning and now, the cold breeze is so nice.
But I am very hot today. Hot as in temper.
The cilaka Streamyx is acting up again and I cannot access some US sites. I have problems with Gmail. I cannot log in to my server.
I think I know where the arsehole hacker hide the codes. I want to go in to my server (the place where all my files for my blog is stored) but I cannot log in because I have problems accessing as my server is in the US. KNN hacker must have inserted those malicious codes in files hidden as jpg files.
Yesterday, both my webmaster and I notice a lot of jpg (photos files) on my main root folder. He thought I must have uploaded to the wrong folder. I thought the Wordpress screwed up.
Now, I read that one of the method of the hack is to stuffs jpg files but they are actually malicious codes hidden there. I had read all those sites offering tutorial on how to solve it and my head is about to burst. Lucky this site explains things clearer - Is your Wordpress hacked?
They’re also uploading PHP code disguised as jpeg files to your upload directory and adding those files to the activated plugins list. This makes it harder to find them, but not impossible:
1. Open PHPMyAdmin and go to your blog’s options table and find the active_plugins record.
2. Edit that record. It’s a long line. Scroll through it and you’ll find an entry that looks like “../uploads/2008/05/04/jhjyahjhnjnva.jpg”. Remove that text, and make sure you remove the serialized array information for that array record. If that’s beyond you, just delete the active_plugins record and reactivate all your plugins again.
I know these sounds like Latin to some of you. Or Bahasa Malaysia to the angmohs. But what it means is “I am blardy pissed because I cannot do anything because of Streamyx slow connection because our cilaka Government seems to know how to talk development but never work on it. Over here in Penang, we have been experiencing slow broadband and cannot access some US sites. KNN”
This morning, I almost rolling on the floor laffing my arse off (that’s what ROTFLMAO) reading about these two kampung boys taking on Uncle Sam and claiming Anwar is the snitch. Get real lah! Why so sensitive? Uncle Sam cakap sikit pun dah takut kah? Lucky my herrow Mr. Karpal Singh made the remarks that it is normal for other countries to comment when something really bothers them.
And then, I read about the police who is being sued and yet, want to make our balls shrink by reminding us that he is going to get the army deployed real soon. Like I sked….
Doh….
And…..jeng, jeng, jeng…do read this latest news from Malaysiakini :
Dalam sidang media bersama Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, penyiasat itu memberikan beberapa butiran maklumat yang didakwa menunjukkan hubungan awal, termasuk dakwaan hubungan seks, antara mangsa bunuh dengan pemimpin negara itu.
Panas! PANAS! (read the full SD here and don’t miss point 25.2)

The other day, when I was at the Immigration Department, there was this man who is in his 60s. He is balding, overweight, sweaty, has a face twitch and was talking very loudly while his saliva was spraying like a fountain.
I was filling the passport application forms for my four sons. (btw, children under 18 yrs old are not able to use the passport auto-kiosk to apply for their passports) So, it was quite a long wait there.
And this old man was with a very, very young chick. She is a Cambodian. The sugar dadda wanted to bring her to Thailand but her passport or visa has some problems. So, sugar daddy was trying to talk the Immigration officers into allowing her to go or something like that.
Well, I am trying to be very nice and am not using the extreme words to describe the gentleman. However, it is very obvious that the relationship is so very wrong. You can see from their body languages, they are not father and daughter or boss and foreign worker or helpful uncle with a lost little tourist. You get the drift?
So, one of my son nudged me. “See? Old man with China doll.”
Therefore, jeng jeng jeng……chance to do what mothers are supposed to do…..
Lecture lah!
“Yalor, so disgusting. Twitching like that, must have taken overdose of veeagra liao. Fake ones, so the nerves also damaged. I wonder what family members he left behind while he chases after skirts? Some poor old wife with poor children whom the old man never finance their education while he blardy spent it all on the girl.”
Son : Aiyor ma….you ah…
Me : True what. This one is a real social problem you know? For most of them, already have a famiy. You tell me correct or not?
Take a look around you. Do you notice how many men past their expiry dates are hooking up with foreign women? For the women, of course it is good that they fly all the way here to make a living, irrespective how they earned it. For the old men, sure they enjoy their new found uprising, all thanks to the blue pill. But I wonder, how many wives are left behind in their broken homes? Most of all, I wonder how our Immigration Department can let so many to come in?
So, my question - Is it fine for an old man to leave his old wife and grown up kids behind and find a new Imported girlfriend for sex? And if you are the old wife, will you bring the old donkey home when he kicked the bucket and give him an honourable send off?

I wrote something in my faith blog the other day…
No one can understand what freedom is until they can just step out of the house without worries about the kids.
and Sooi-Sooi, one of my regular reader said :
omg, u just hit that right in the nail! i still have more than a decade to that day
I know a lot of moms with young kids have these feelings. Yeah, we are very happy to be moms and having little babies to adore and pamper. But sometimes, it becomes a long grind with no light at the end of the tunnel. It becomes dirty diapers after dirty diapers cycle. And when the baby is much older and is mobile, we have to worry about the risk of cuts, falls, bumps and knocks.
Now, at least I can get a breather because the kids are much older. But still, there is something that I missed. A long bath, without anyone knocking on the door with things like,
“Mommmmmm…..look at David!!!!! He doesn’t want to give me the remote control!!!!!”
or
“Ma………what are you doing??????? I am hungry!!!!!! I want fried rice!!!! Faster before I die of hunger.”
or
“HOI!!!! Mader….how long are you going to take????? We are going out right NOWWWW!!!”
or
“MOMMYYYYY…..I got tummy ache….I need to pangsai (poo) NOWWWW!!!”
Sigh….I wish I have a bathroom which is sound proof and come with cushion walls so that no one can bother me when I am enjoying my bath. Maybe I will put a huge red beaming lights “The queen is in the bath, do not disturb or risk getting electrocuted” and then, put one of those electric fencing.
The Italians do know how to pamper themselves. When I was there and staying even in small motels, their bathrooms normally are decorated with opulent finishing. Never mind that they have very small bedrooms. Their bathrooms are huge with bidet and all.
The tap heads are gold plated and a few of the bigger hotels have sauna and jacuzzi built in too. They have those shower enclosures that come with a seat and all kind of settings with massage and all that pomp. Looking at this site for Bathroom Suites, I wish I had stayed back in Rome, Florence or Venice and find an Italian man who owns a villa.
So, sons, disturb me somemore when I am taking my baths, I elope to Italy and live in Lake Como forever.
Sigh…moms don’t have a life of their own when they earned the title ‘MOM’.

Yesterday night, I planned to make a dash to church at 7 am for a quick prayer to find out what exactly was my purpose in making an appointment to meet someone the next day. But right after midnight, I received an email from Google Adsense Dev. Team that my site has been hacked and injected with porn site links. That got me into two hours of intense reading and searching to find out how to solve the problem.
By the time I sleep, it was already 3 am. When I woke up, it was already almost 10 am. I have an appointment at 11.30 am and I still do not know why I bother to take the bold step. So, I muddled through and was about to leave home when I flipped through the papers. I found an interview done by Clove, The Star pullout section, with me and two other bereaved parents. I have forgotten about the interview actually. So, when I read through the article, it is like a stranger reading about another person’s life experiences.
That’s when I see the pieces coming together. I dropped the hubby and kid at Gurney Plaza since the two mall rats love hitting the mall and GP is on the way to where I was heading. Between the short drive from GP to the hospital, I have like 10 minutes alone.
And I asked the Lord….exactly why am I doing it? This is treading on foreign ground, frightening places and I do not want to waste the person’s time meeting me if there is nothing good coming out of it. But that 10 minutes slow drive is enough to reveal to me why I need to make the first move.
I have seen too much, learned a lot, feel many kinds of emotions, understand the needs of those people there and if I just shoved that as the past and nothing else, I have wasted buckets of tears for nothing. So, let me turn my tears to be the comfort for others.
Next week, I am going to devote some time in my boring, routine life to see what I can do in a cancer hospital. Like I told the two persons I met, “I had been in hospitals. Many times, the medical staffs are there to provide medical support. But the most important thing is to provide emotional, motivation and maybe some faith support to the patients and their caregivers. Without the will, one will have difficulties overcoming their fears and worries.”
So, help me Lord.
Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. (Luke 9:23)

If you are using Wordpress, you should know about wordpress spam injection. Otherwise, your blog may be hit and yet, you are not aware of them.
So, whose blogs are most likely to get hit?
1) Blog with high pagerank
2) Blog with good keywords
3) Blog with good traffic
How do we know?
We won’t know because it is not easy for us regular users to trace it. You cannot see the spam links inserted by viewing source codes. For us who are not experts, we won’t even know where to start searching. I read a few posts and still do not understand the workaround it.
What are the signs?
1) You are suddenly getting PSA ads on the main page.
2) Your traffic dropped
3) And if left unattended, you will lose your pagerank and get some good keywords de-indexed
Who are behind these?
Blackhat SEO who uses dirty tactics to inject their spammy links into your blog without your knowledge.
I saw PSA ads on my personal blog and wrote to Google Adsense. Here’s the reply I received :
Thanks for your email. I understand you are concerned about the fact that
public service ads are appearing on your site. Our specialists
investigated and found that pornographic links and links related to
prescription drug offers have been injected into the bottom of your pages.
These links are only visible to web crawlers so you may not see them if
you view the source of your pages. Because our system does not return ads
to pages detected to have adult content, relevant paid ads will not appear
until the links are removed. These links may have been placed on your site
without your knowledge in an attempt to boost other sites’ search engine
rank.
We’d recommend that you contact your webmaster to fix any site
vulnerabilities which may have allowed the links to be placed on your
site. For more information about security for webmasters, see
http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/09/quick-security-checklist-for-webmasters.html.
You may also with to perform a search for results related to “wordpress
spam injection” for more information about the issue.
Once the links have been successfully removed, paid ads or more relevant
ads should start appearing again within a week.
Cheers,
Matt
The Google AdSense Team
How to prevent it?
Hopefully, you have someone who is an expert who can trace where they had inserted the codes. Remember that these people who inserted the codes are really expert and they can breach Wordpress security to get into our folders.
Also, let’s hope Wordpress patch up this real fast. I have a list of some useful sites which I have bookmarked. But let me solve my problems on wordpress spam injection first and see which links’ recommendation works.

Whoever did this to my blog, I hope you die a slow death.
Some kurang ajar topi hitam seo hacked my blog with spam injection.
Lucky I notice I keep getting PSA ads and asked Google. Matt (I hope it is Matt Cutts of the Development Team) alerted me that my blog is filled with invisible p00rn links which cannot be seen by viewing source codes. So, Adsense disabled the ads on the main URL. Only Google Bot can see it.
So, to the topi hitam seo, I hope your kukujiao rots and drop off. But before that, I hope you lost your ability to scatch your kukujiao so you have to roll on the ground in throes of agonies. Like those dogs infested with fleas…
Niamah, want to hack, go and find someone with the technical knowledge to solve it lah. Be a man and confront a bigger man lah. Come to a poor soul like me, now I have to spend two days reading up on ‘wordpress spam injection’. Somemore my blog is running on WP 2.5.1, the latest version.
Assholes, good for nothing, leeching on to poor aunties’s popular blog with high PR to earn your money online. I hope you will earn enough to buy a cure for your itching groin. Blardy hell, I spit on your head for using such dirty tactics to make money. This is like pilfering from the poor to earn money. Lucky I knew about this beforehand or else I could possibly lost my pagerank, indexed pages and get my Google Adsense banned. Fuck you! May you rot in hell.
So, bloggers and webmasters running Wordpress - If you are suddenly losing traffic or seeing PSA ads, be alert. Your site could be hit too.
Matt Cutts has said:
2008 will be the year that hacking and search engine optimization (SEO) collide in a major way. By the end of the year, a nontrivial fraction of blackhat SEO will involve illegally hacking sites for links or landing pages.
I am now officially famous and bear the proud tattoo of being hacked.
Haih…the price of fame. Ptui!

Today is one of those “Worthy, Unworthy” day.
Today is one of those ‘Ugly, you are not worthy” monster day.
Today, I am going to see somebody……
Today, I ask for the thousandth times
Who am I? (Casting Crown)
(you/yours in the lyrics = God)
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you’ve done.
Not because of what I’ve done,
But because of who you are.
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I’m calling,
Lord, you catch me when I’m falling,
And you’ve told me who I am.
I am yours.
Today is hopefully not a Running away from God day.
Today, I hope I have the desires to do something, like what I wrote during Corpus Christi.
Never be lacking in zeal,
but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope,
patient in affliction
faithful in prayer.
Share with God’s people who are in need.
Practice hospitality.
Still
Who am I?
Who am I? Who are you?

I think I am gifted with positive thinking. Not many people can be as positive as me.
Few months ago, my other half decided that he has enough of working. He got a tidy sum from an earlier company and then, he started a new job. But one fine day, he phoned and told me he has enough of tax evasion tactics and such. He said that is his last day of work. He had worked with foreigners and to them, black is black, white is white. Then, in the new company, they go for gray and hubby is not someone who bends forward. Both of us are compatible because we have our own principles and nothing can change that.
So, that’s it. We are one happy couple who have plenty of time, and no money. Well, I think most women would freak out at the prospect of not having a steady income. But me? I was so happy that I get an errand boy, a breakfast supplier, a companion for my little boy, a trusted guardian for my older children when they go to school and finish school and most of all, an adult to keep me company at home.
The last few months, he has been busy with either his dying bro-in-law or now, helping his widowed sister with the paperworks of transferring properties. Do you know that even a miserable, broken old bike needs lots of paper works to be cleared before they can sell it? So, he is not entirely shaking legs now.
As for money, God blesses abundantly. We have no worries on that part. Whatever we need for the older children’s education were taken care off. We have savings, a home, two cars, no loans and no mortgages. Money comes in other way, i.e. my online income. Previously, we never touch my income. Now, I am so secured knowing that my income are growing steadily and those are enough to allow us to maintain almost the same lifestyle.
Most of all, now that he is around, I have the chance to pursue what interests me. I hope to spend the time to do something that pleases me. I can comfortably leave my little boy with hubby while I get out of the home for a few hours each day. In fact, this is such a blessing for me.
No one can understand what freedom is until they can just step out of the house without worries about the kids. I never knew this opportunity will come so soon. I will make the best of it. The hubby never says when he will go back to the rat race. He is enjoying his daily hike up the Penang hill and spend the rest of the day with the love of his life, my youngest boy. Then, when the older children are back from college or school, they have their boys’ stuffs to do.
Me? I am so thankful that I can devote more time to serve the church. I am mostly a ‘yes person’ now if people looks for help. That is priceless, the ability to say yes when the Lord calls. I hope to have a few more months with this same arrangement.

Being the beginning of the month, I have to complete a lot of things that were held up since last month. So, I had been spending a longer time than usual to work on them. Sometimes, these jobs need concentration and hence, I feel tired easily.
Previously, when I was on a roll, I could achieved more things and completed more tasks. But after a lapse and a long sabbath, I am now having difficulties getting back into the grind.
Maybe I should go lose weight and start exercising to gain back the vigor to blog all night long. It is only midnight and I am sleepy already.

Niamah, this is happening like every other week. I do not know whether it is only limited to my island, my area or felt by the whole nation.
The net is so slow, can die. At one point, I cannot even log on to my Google account and my Flickr photos show a broken link. Then, Youtube video embedded on my blog needs plugin wor.
Blardy Streamyass can never provide even decent broadband service and yet, their farking advertisement promoting their combo package kept appearing everywhere. Don’t their stupid marketing department know that their idiotic technical department cannot cope with the load? Why the farking hell are they still promoting the combo when they cannot even provide decent 1Mbps service. Niamah, CCB, KNN you go die lah Streamyx.

One of my reader asked the below :
Dear 5xmom, could you please post(or maybe point to a site or 2?) recipes for an easy dish for a bachelor to cook? but yet suitable enough to get his friends to go ‘Wow’ & actually impress the gals? Basically something presentable, delicious yet easy to cook. It can be of any type(M’sian/non-Msian). Its a bit troublesome, but I do hope that with your experiences & expertise(who knows, your sons might need them not so near in the future too! :p) you could help this helpless guy whip out something. Thanx!
Well, I didn’t forget your question or ignore it. Before I can provide you some ideas, I need to know what kind of kitchen gadgets do you have so that I do not find something that you aren’t able to dish up due to the unavailability of the cooking gadget.

So, how about garlic bread? Do you have a toaster that looks like a tiny oven? If you do, it will be great to toast some garlic breads. French loaves are very cheap too. I bought mine from Tesco for RM1.59 cents only.
I chopped a few pips of garlic and sweat it with olive oil. Sweat means to make the thing limp but not burnt. It will make the garlic less pungent.
After that, I mix the garlic with butter. I cut the french loaf into slices and let my kids smear the garlic butter. Do not buy those pre-made garlic butter because the taste sucks. You can easily do this at home.
I grated some cheddar on top and bake them till crispy. Sometimes, instead of putting too much butter, I drizzle olive oil and use less butter. Butter is awfully expensive nowadays!

If you are making a big batch, all you need is to prepare the slices of bread in advance, apply the garlic butter, wrap up the whole loaf in an aluminium foil. You can bake the whole thing in the BBQ fire too if you like.
For the main course, do try my pasta recipes.
Since you said you are a bachelor…on second thought, maybe garlic bread is not such a great idea after all. I do not want to spoil your date and kiss with killer garlic bread breath. But it is perfect for meals with the guys.
Do let me know what kind of kitchen gadgets you have and whether you prefer Chinese, Indian, Malay or Western.

The above is the winter melon. It is easily grown in our backyards and long time ago, my sister planted this melon in a tiny plot of land behind her semi-detached home. The melon grew really big and during one of the worst flood in Penang in the 70s, the poor melon floated in the flood and we didn’t get to eat it because it was too not ripen yet.
Now, you can buy a huge slice of the wintermelon for a mere RM2. It is enough to boil a huge pot of soup for the family. Winter melon is said to be cooling for the body. Since it doesn’t have any funny smell or weird taste and is rather bland, it is to make it into all kind of soups and seasoned to our taste.

To prepare, just cut off the seeds and the spongy centre. Pare off the green skin and cut them into chunks.

For my soup, I like to add some goji berries, red dates, pork ribs, garlics, carrot for the colour and sometimes, small pieces of dried squids.
Just add enough liquid for the family consumption as a more concentrated soup will be tastier. Boil all the ingredients for like an hour to maximum flavour. Season with salt and pepper.

The winter melon will absorb the flavour of the soup ingredients and will make an excellent, home brewed, nutritious soup.

The other day, we went to this restaurant in New World Park. It was the weekend and the place is rather crowded. There were six of us so we were forced to sit outside on a hot evening. The restaurant knows fully well that their place is too small to accommodate many patrons and most of the time, their patrons have to dine alfresco. Since we are not living in a temperate country with low humidity and cold weather, it is very uncomfortable to be sitting in a place with no aircond.
The other thing is the restaurant also didn’t bother to light up the area properly and it was rather dark. However, the walkway has these street lamps kind of thing. So, my son ordered this filet mignon and I asked for medium rare. Oh wow, the lights from the street lamps casted a very weird light and made the blood from the steak looking really gory. In the end, he couldn’t finish it because the more he stares the worst it becomes.
Therefore, lighting is very important fixture for a restaurant and even in our homes. Without nice ambience, those lights will cast funny shadows on the patrons faces. I remember watching one episode of Gordon Ramsay series and one of the interior deco guy mentioned that their lady patrons hates funny lights that make them look ugly.
So, if you are planning to decorate your home, do check out the link provided because they have a lot of nice lighting like hinkley lighting which will look very grand in big dining rooms. The other nice choice is the kichler which is equally elegant.
You notice how misleading those special lights in the foods and vegetable section in the supermarkets? All those greens look super green and luscious over there but they somehow become pale when brought out of the supermarket into our homes. That’s how much lighting can influence our foods.

Those who have the habits of spending on things they cannot afford, now Bank Negara is going to squeeze their balls. This ruling is long overdue, btw. I have one relative who not only spend on credit, he even wanted to withdraw money from his credit card to pay back the money he borrowed from us. Niamah……Now, with the new ruling, see they die yet or not….
PETALING JAYA: Effective today, credit card holders who only pay partial or minimum of their outstanding amount will no longer enjoy the 20-day-interest-free period for new retail transactions.
Bank Negara confirmed that the ruling took effect Tuesday, as part of its effort to promote the use of credit cards payment instrument, prudent spending and good financial discipline among credit card users.

Next, the news I read in the papers this morning. Both hubby and I were at the table, eating while he was flipping through the papers…
Me : Dear……see? People earning RM3,000 per month can afford four wives. That means, every man also can marry many-many wives hor? And you, you only have one. That means you just need RM850 per month to maintain me and my four sons, right?
He gave me killer stare, as usual…
And what did Najib said about the Chinese average income?
Najib said emphasis would be given to the bumiputras to enable them to have 19.4% equity ownership in the corporate sector, 15% ownership of premises and an average income of RM3,156 each; Sabah and Sarawak bumiputras to have 3% ownership in the corporate sector and have an average income from RM2,063 to RM2,858 each; and the Indians to have 1.1% ownership in the corporate sector, 3.8% premises ownership and an average income of RM3,799.
He added that Chinese ownership in the corporate sector actually increased to 42.4%, while their ownership of premises was 76.1% and they had an average income of RM4,853 each.
(source The Star)
Fuyoh! We Chinese are supposed to have an average income of almost RM5K. Tiok boh tiok eh? Did they add in Vincent Tan, Robert Kuok and other Chinese billionaires’ assest and divide by the Malaysian Chinese population? Just like how some Indian friends told me, “Sure Indians have higher average income lah….Because they added Sami Bulu and Ananda Krishnan’s assets and divide by the Indian population. Go ask those in the estates how many hundreds RM they earn each month?”
Haih…these few days, I saw some of those Ah Bengs working really hard in the pirated DVD sector and those tow trucks services. I really respect their dedication and how hard they run around to get their job done, sometimes, risking their lives. For what? To earn some money for their families lor….If they have an average income of RM4,853 do you think they need to sweat it out so hard in such harsh conditions? Niamah, want to braff us meh, where Chinese got so rich lah. Eg. my housekeeper…she worked 24/7 for long hours, cleaning homes and offices and she earns only like RM3K with no benefits, no annual leaves unless she is totally knocked out by illness. Why? Because she has three sons in universities and she needs to finance their education as her husband sole’s income is not enough.
In the meantime…maybe ’some people’ properties and assets are no accounted for because LOL, they are all under-table, slipped through immigration and customs to Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. And that’s how their income is so much lower than the Chineses and Indians.
My sons said I have the word ISA (and they are not referring to Nabi Isa), imprints on my forehead already. Who cares lah, it is better than 666. I have to say what I have to say. But remember, this is my blog, so I get to say it. However, you don’t leave any sensitive comments or I shall delete them.

Okay…that’s it! I am going to change my Wordpress theme again. Had been meaning to do it but never find time to sit down and concentrate.
Six months ago, I use a theme that has only 123kb and hence, it takes a short time to load. Now, my theme is taking a long time to load and sometimes, I need to refresh before they load properly. My current theme has 806kb. This is bad news….
I am either going to Wayback machine and see which theme I was using then or I shall go ’steal’ the same Wordpress theme from those whose blogs were listed way down on PimpMyPageRank list of fastest loading blogs.
Booyeah!
Thanks, Pimp for that little comparison list! Ouch, Pimp sounds so wrong and so does Mom on the make money blogosphere. Hehehe. Without Doubt the best SEO blog in the World.
List of Make Money blogs and their page load in KB.
And if you need to ask, “Why does pageload matters?”
Of course, it is very important! People will just go elsewhere if your site takes too long to load. Who has time to sit and wait for your blog to appear? So, go for simplicity. Anyone knows a nice, clean, light, bright Wordpress theme which is free, free, free?

This post may be sensitive to some people. As usual, you have been warned. If you wish to read, I am most happy to share my thoughts. It is my personal thoughts, based on my personal experiences. And when I give prior warning in a post, it means, no one gets to disagree.
Many years ago, Father Stephen gave a homily about being Christians and being rich. Some people have this idea that Christians are supposed to be those poor souls, penniless and always giving away everything they have. But Father Stephen said that it is not wrong to be rich and being a Christian.
A lot of people are often chasing after money, prosperity and wealth. They will do every kind of things to gain it. Even in the Bible, during the pagan time, the people will worship and offers things to the god they perceived in order to be blessed with good harvests and lots of money. Just look at the kind of promises the new age are offering. Things to change your luck, things to put in your house to give you better luck and etc. If people mention about such and such thing can improve wealth, a lot of people will follow blindly and hope to get rich.
So, how do I see this issue on Christians and prosperity? I am quite the expert on fengshui because once, I was one of those people who tried to do things to get better quality of life. Today, I don’t ‘play’ with these things anymore. However, there are of course, certain things that I still respect because it is pure common sense.
One of Jesus’s reminder is :
“Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.” (Luke 17:33)
Life here is not merely being alive but rather the kind of lifestyle we live. Sometimes, we have to leave part of our lifestyle to live life fully. When we stop chasing after wealth and concentrate on other things, we find more happiness. Right now, I see with my own eyes, the life of some people who are so engrossed in making a lot of money and in the process, ended up with huge debts and a breaking down of the family. Living life to me today is to be close to God and to live life the way I am guided by the Holy Spirit. In this case, follow what my heart tells me to do because the Holy Spirit dwells within us.
And one of the promise from Jesus is :
Luke 19:26
“I tell you that every one who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.”
Now, it is a comfort to me because even if I am already blessed, God will continue to showers His blessings on me because He has trusted me to build His Kingdom. Jesus told the above parable (story) of the generous person having more, being given more. Meanwhile those stingy, selfish people who guard closely their own wealth, will eventually lose it all because they failed to live.
Therefore, back to the title…..are Christians prosperous? Yes. They are. Christians are the lucky lot who will be showered with God’s blessings when they put other needs above their own. For it is only when they are blessed with financial richess, overflowing joy and happiness, abundant love and other good things in life, then only they can spread these blessings on others.
So, if there is any one Divine Being who can gives you lots of prosperity, happiness and love, it is Jesus Christ and His Divine guide.

(this is just a humor post)
Scene at home
I was trying to teach my sons about some facts of life like being caring. So these conversation took place…..
Me : You know ah, today someone told me (some sad things). You know ah…your ma ah…is a magnet for the sad, poor and downtrodden folks….
So, I thought….wuah…bangga, can teach my sons how to be caring…Sure they very touched to hear their sorrowfool mother being kind and all those mushy-mushy stuffs lah….
Manatau……
#1 : Chey….magnet to the poor people for what lah….Be the magnet to millionaires lah….
#2 : Yalah, yalah…..be magnet to millionaires, then, we mah get plenty of money lorrr
Me : HOI! Cilaka! What? You want to trade your mader for money kah?
#1 : No need wan……
#2 : Yalah, just want the money only mah…..Eh, mader, you think your saham so tinggi, can find millionaires somemore kah?
Me : Niamah…..Chewren, listen here….There is no free lunch in this world, wokay…..No such thing as free lunch, remember…..
(some shoes we bought in Singapore, about RM500, call Nike Koi)
Then, we went shopping at Queensbay mall….time to get even….
I walked pass Faceshop. Normally, if I pass by, I sure have plenty of things to buy because Faceshop stuffs are cheap if I compare it with Bodyshop, SKII and Bobbi Brown.
Me : Your sorrowful mother must sacrifice for her children. Cannot get near Faceshop even, cos no money. All spent on you. Nay..that pair of Nike Koi….how much liao?
#2 : Eh, what what soh-low-fool mader? *whisper mode* RM500
Then, we went to eat sushi and I love unagi’s skin. So, the son doesn’t eat fish skin. I took the skin and ate it.
Me : Your sorrowful mother must sacrifice for her children. Get to eat only the miserable eel’s skin…
Son : Somemore say sorrowful mother, I take this chopsticks and poke your eyes then, you baru know what is sorrowful…..(in a joking manner ok?)
(some Nike call Lobster, sold out the moment it is launched in Malaysia. My son bought a size 10 and is keeping it for re-selling. He said he can sell it off for a good price. Right now, he is not auctioning it off yet. Bought this from Limited Edition in Queensway, Singapore. The shop introduced by Nike’s staff.)
After dinner, we went to buy socks…..
Me : Your sorrowful mother must…….
So…basically, the whole night I rub it in on them on how they spent money. Preached somemore…. (in a joking way, of course)
Me : Eh, son, you have sold your soul to the devil already. Now, all want brands and all want limited edition. You know what I should do with you? I go call the bishop and our three priests and kasi you exorcism baru tau. Then hor….I go ask the priest to find a room for you to stay with him there so he can brainwash you. If not hor, your sorrowful mother sure pokkai with the kind of stuffs you buy. Buy socks also must buy Nike. Bata socks cannot wear wan meh?
Son : Eh, mader….you know what? Jesus said we must not store up treasure on earth. That means we must spend, spend, spend our money. Jesus only say store up treasures in heaven.

Anyway…the #2 son is into stuffs like these so we just korek our pockets (to import the materials from China) and let him experiment lor….He has his own site at SpectrumReflectors.com and he sews those reflective suspender belts worn by the shufflers. Fuyoh, NOT like mother, definitely.
Meanwhile, the #1 son pulak, I don’t know what online game he is playing. Get a lot of ’stocks’ from the games, he sold off to some angmohs. Can make money playing online game now wor. Thank God.

Once again, it is the end of the month (in the USA) and within the next few hours, I will be getting payments from TextLinkAds, ReviewMe and a few other ads companies. I love those companies who pays right on the dot. Then, there are those who pay around 10th of the month like LinkWorth, Kontera, Amazon, FoodBuzz and more.
Yesterday, I went to CIMB to cash my Adsense and I am pleasantly surprised that CIMB gives RM3.23 for every USD1. Woohoo, I earned more than RM100+, which are extras, because I normally base my calculations on lower exchange rates.
So, it is the end of June. Today is 1st July 2008. Half a year gone. How much have I made in the half year? I didn’t bother to calculate because the Excel spreadsheets were in my dead Vaio and though I have the backup in my external drive, it is too much of a bother to dig out the hard drive to download the files to my Mac.
I don’t keep resolutions even for my personal life. So, I definitely do not set very high targets for my make money blog. My target is, as long as I have make enough of a certain number, I will rest already. As for pagerank, I hope I can gain my PR5/10 on my personal blog and the rest of the blogs, PR remains status quo.
So, my resolution till the end of 2008 is to just take things easy. I will still explore ways to make money online but I will tread warily. Remember that there are more scams than truth in making money online. 80% of the claims are probably bullshits. But the future of monetizing our blogs is very bright.
Cheers to another six months of prosperous income!

These are some photos that meant a lot to me. So, I actually do not care what others think ‘cos what matters are what are important to me. Yeah, right, it is a mushy post.

This is my handsome little #5 in his suit. Jerry, my niece’s boyfriend took it when we were in Singapore. We woke him quite early that morning around 8 am because he needs to be there to open the door for the bridegroom (my nephew, aka #5’s cousin brother). It is a Chinese wedding tradition to have a little boy to open the car door for the bridegroom. Initially, I thought he is going to throw a fuss and will definitely refused to put on the three-piece suits, i.e. a jacket, a bolero and a shirt inside. But nope, he was the angelic little boy, cannot wait to earn his angpow to buy toys.

Then, we went to church during the afternoon for the church wedding. I even managed to get him to wear an orange t-shirt like me. Both of us are perfect Sai Baba’s disciples, no? Tumeric orangey, uniform of the Hindraf group. If Hindraf needs extra members, call me lah!
I normally do not like to put my photo this big but I must say that it is a picture of happiness, bliss and completeness. In fact, my #5’s name is Marn or full or complete in Mandarin. Except that sometimes, I mispronounced the Marn and it sounds like Slow. Doh…
Now, the main part of the post…..

Few days ago, my #5 dug out an old album. It was taken on November, 2001. I remember because it was my #3 birthday. He was five years old (like my #5 now). He celebrated his birthday in the high dependency unit in Adventist hospital.
My #5 asked me, “Mommy….why I am not in the photo? Why only Vincent kor-kor?” Hmmm…why indeed? I told him, “Mommy hasn’t grown you yet. Mommy only grow you after Vincent kor-kor died. That’s why you are not in there lor…”
Eheh, I have almost the same smile. I think I gave birth only about 2 months and Vincent was still on oxygen but we removed his oxygen tube for a quickie photo session. The photos weren’t clear because we dare not use the flashlight and we only had a film SLR camera.

The above photo was taken somewhere in Sungai Buloh’s highway stop, when we were on our way home from Singapore recently. Those monkeys there can never pose for nice photos. They just had to act like those gangsters from Kung Fu Hustle. At least with this one, I don’t see anyone putting up a middle finger just when I was about to snap the picture.
Six years and the kids have grown so much!
The above video was taken some months back where my #5 wanted to try making cock-eye but he still has problems co-ordinating.
Anyway……God is great. I lose some, I win some. At the end of the day, we are still one happy family, a much more enriched one.
